Dearest Friends of Alpena,
I am writing to request your help supporting our mission at the All Saints Center of Charity. Our organization is dedicated to providing services and support to those who are underserved, homeless or who face situations that are too difficult to navigate alone. We have over 480 unique interactions per week by providing nutritious meals, clothing, companionship, homeless crisis navigation, and more! We are honored to have the largest soup kitchen in NE Michigan, The Friendship Room, and we have further programs such as the Emergency Resource Room and Community Connections Center. We also offer $42,000.00 worth of in-kind donation of space, providing a home to the Children’s Closet, Baby Pantry, Alcoholics Anonymous and satellite offices for Catholic Human Services and NEMSCA. We do this so that these organizations are free of the costly burden of paying for utilities and rent, which allows them to direct all their resources to continuing their important missions of helping the community.
With all of the much-needed activities happening within the Center of Charity, we pray that our community will respond to this request for support of our programs. The Besser Foundation has generously provided a wonderful opportunity for you to make a direct impact in our Alpena Community. They have awarded the Center of Charity a $75,000.00 dollar matching grant, meaning that any gift you make will have TWICE THE IMPACT! This is a chance to allow your love and support for the community to become a light, shining through the Center of Charity. Our goal is to raise $75,000.00 dollars in 75 days.
